I call on the Commonwealth government to pass the Responding to Robodebt Bill 2025 in response to the Robodebt Royal Commission’s recommendations.

I commend the proponents of this Bill to ensure Services Australia reforms its dysfunctional debt and customer service practices.

I argue Services Australia purposely engages in deceptive conduct with most people who received debt notices and others who continue to experience systemic poverty.

The recent announcement of an additional $475 million in compensation to victims and families is before the Federal Court of Australia for final approval.
